Loooong story: I'd had my belongings and furniture shipped in a PODS container and hired Portland Move to unload the container and get everything to a top floor unit. Kevin and Isaiah arrived on time, went to open the container roll-up door and 1/4 of the way the door refuses to open further. I panicked. Kevin and Isaiah professionally panicked. After a bit of maneuvering none of us could get the door to budge and I set out on the notoriously awful task of calling PODS customer service. I also called Austin to update him, as Kevin and Isaiah had to take care of other moves. But then they came back with Austin himself, who contorted himself into a pretzel to get in the container and was able to budge the door further! Now that they were all able to see the problem they worked hard to work with the shifted contents of the POD and then quickly decided to move my stuff into my apartment! I almost cried, I was so relieved! And all throughout they were so kind, respectful, and fast! Thanks to them I'll stop looking raggedy at work and can sleep on my actual bed! I hope I don't have to move again for a long time, but when I do, I'll call Portland Move, for real.TL;DR: Portland Move saved my butt. Hire them, they're great!

Austin and his team came to our rescue when the initial moving company we had scheduled to assist us in loading our belongings from our 4-bedroom apartment into a rental truck failed to show up. I reached out to Austin at approximately 10 a.m., and fortunately, he had a last-minute cancellation for that afternoon. He swiftly gathered a larger team, as we needed three people, and they arrived at our home by 1 p.m. Right from our first conversation, Austin maintained open communication, keeping me informed about the progress of his ongoing job and the estimated arrival time. This continuous line of communication was greatly appreciated, especially after the stressful morning with the previous company that didn't show up.Austin and his team arrived within the promised time frame and immediately began working. They made use of sturdy dollies to effortlessly move the heavy boxed items. For larger, bulky items such as the couch, they took great care in wrapping them and strategized their movement down the challenging four flights of stairs.Despite the extreme heat on that day, Austin and his crew worked tirelessly and managed to load the truck in less time than initially anticipated. This was no easy task due to the challenging factors of navigating four flights of stairs, tight corners, and the hot weather conditions we faced. Kevin did an outstanding job packing the rental truck, ensuring that nothing shifted or got damaged during the 200-mile journey to our new destination. The team that assisted with unloading at our new location even complimented the excellent packing job.Austin and his crew are not only highly professional but also friendly and considerate of the inevitable stresses that come with any move. What would’ve taken me an entire day or possibly even two whole days to move my things myself, they got the job done in 4 hours. They really made my life so much easier. I watched how carefully and respectfully they moved the furniture they were handling and how well they listened to the women who owned the possessions and we couldn’t believe it. The Portland Move team really went above and beyond. I had a different moving company suddenly cancel on me the morning they were supposed to come, and Portland Move shuffled things around so that they could help me out in a tough situation (and even during peak moving season!). Not only that, but they were professional, experienced, communicative, and friendly through the whole process. They even added more movers on the job for free halfway through to make sure it wouldn’t go too late in the day. I highly recommend this team of movers if you’re in the area!

Austin and his group of professional strong young men were an awesome team. I was impressed by Austin's communication prior to move and his willingness to survey the new location to see what kind of truck would fit best. The movers' organization skills ( they packed our furniture in a truck like Tetris) and their above and beyond care of wrapping and transporting of our furniture and belongings were impressive. Their work and planning saved us money in the long run and they made sure everything is where we wanted it. They also reassembled some furniture and put it back together in a flash. And all this in 90 degree weather!We are very happy with their skills and abilities and highly recommend them.

Gabriel and Austin were total rockstars during my move. This was actually my second time using their services. They were super quick to give me a quote for moving my 5 bedroom pad from Portland to Newberg, and on the day of the move, they rolled out mats to protect my carpet and loaded everything onto the truck but in a really organized way. They wrapped everything up with plastic and cloth sheets to make sure nothing got damaged, and they were also really friendly throughout the whole process. I couldn't recommend Gabriel, Austin, and Portland Move more if you're looking for a trustworthy and efficient moving service.

Austin and his crew moved us from Beaverton to Eugene and we were quite happy with it. It required:- a 2nd stop at a storage unit, requiring some repacking of the truck- the long trip to Eugene- one truck that was fully packed at the endIn all, it was about a 12 hour job, then they had 2 more driving back to Portland. The entire time they worked continuously and were pleasant throughout, even in the 12th hour.They were also one of the only movers I contacted willing to do it in one day, versus packing one day and unpacking the next, which was a big deal for various reason (e.g. freezer not dethawing, having a bed to sleep on, etc).I'd absolutely recommend them.

Austin and the team did a very good job helping us with a local move. Other moving companies quoted 6-7 hours with 4 movers and 2 trucks or 2 trips, while they estimated to be 5 hours 15 mins with 3 movers, 1 truck and single trip. They finished the job just on time and saved us hundreds of dollars! They were very polite and worked hard without taking any unnecessary break. They carefully wrapped the furniture and the door, and put floor runners and carpet film to protect our new house. The only thing is I wish they could wrap the stair handrail more thoroughly, but fortunately they were careful enough that no damage to the handrail occurred. Overall they did a fantastic job and I can easily see their passion in making their customers satisfied. A solid 5 star!

He accommodated our tight schedule, showed up on time, and clearly knew what he was doing with both packing, and taking apart furniture (and putting it back together!). Unfortunately Louis and his co-worker had to deliver everything (including heavy bedroom furniture) to the third floor and they did so without even blinking! Portland Move is the real deal. They actually answered the phone, and Austin sold me after 8 minutes. There are no apps to download or some pretentious “Intake” bs. They requested a small deposit and sent me a reminder email which considering not having your movers show up on the July 4th holiday weekend could turn into a disaster. Austin and Michael worked efficiently. They reminded me that they would at my direction as they get compensated by the hour. They performed equal to or better than represented. Hired these guys for my recent move from Hillsboro to NE Portland. They arrived on time and immediately got to work. They asked about any special requests before getting to it. They loaded everything at the old place, drove to the new one, and unloaded everything in 4 hours time with 3 young guys and a 26-foot truck. I had a couple of things (like a 350lbs air compressor) which were very heavy and a huge headache to move, and to do it myself would be possibly dangerous or incredibly difficult. Stressing about whether or not a mover would be willing or capable to move it, I had called Portland Move and they said they can move it without issue. I had my doubts since some of the items were top-heavy and bulky, and they mentioned they could use a hand dolly and have moved much heavier things. They showed up with a liftgate truck and all the equipment needed to move and secure the thing into the truck. They were polite, friendly, efficient, and incredibly helpful. They had no issue loading, securing, and unloading things so they wouldn't fall or damage in transit, and were careful when handling things so nothing would be damaged, scratched, or worn. I would not hesitate to use their services again in the future; it really took a lot of the stress away from moving.
